Hey OP. That seems normal. I’ve been in and out for monitoring within my pregnancy (I’m 31 weeks) and the other day she hit 190 (should be between 120-160 at 30 weeks) but she was really active hence why. Apparently it’s quite hard to find a heartbeat this early on so to find one for you is brilliant. I wouldn’t panic too much right now. Are they calling you back in?

I think they say anything below 110 is low and around 120 is normal at that gestation. I don’t know why they panic us with things like this then make us wait a week! I’ve had scans and they’ve mentioned stuff then said come back in 2 weeks. Like I can just get on with my normal life for the next fortnight 🙄

Ahh ok, private scans I don’t trust when they comment on things like this. I think a lot of people on here will tell you to trust the NHS ones. I’ve seen people on here have private scans that contradict the NHS ones. I had another look through notes and I’m not a professional but that heart rate seems normal for 6-7 weeks. When is your first booking appointment with NHS - 12 weeks?

Awww don’t think like that, I’m 40 in August and I’m due in July with my first baby. Anxiety and worry in pregnancy is not spoken about enough, mine has been horrific throughout

Hi everyone,
Looking for some thoughts and experiences from people who may have been through something similar.

There were two previous pregnancies:

  • An IVF pregnancy in 2018 which reached around 7–8 weeks with a heartbeat before ending as a missed miscarriage.
  • A natural pregnancy in 2021 which also reached around 7–8 weeks with a heartbeat before ending as a missed miscarriage.

After years of investigations and fertility testing, no clear answer has ever been found.
There is now a new natural pregnancy. A scan at 6+4 showed a 6.7 mm embryo with a heartbeat. A follow-up scan today measured the embryo at 11 mm (around 7+2) with a heartbeat still present.

The embryo has grown, which is reassuring, but we’re worried because the heart rate measured 96 bpm. The scan was done externally and the sonographer explained that it wasn’t measured using the usual Doppler method because it’s still very early. Has anyone had a similar experience with a seemingly low early heartbeat and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

Any experiences would be greatly appreciated while we wait for our follow-up scan next week.
