Clexane during pregnancy

Hi

Has anyone moved during pregnancy and had difference guidance on what is required?

Ive moved from England to Wales and I’m 28 weeks. I had the first part of my care in England and was told due to my bmi (30) at booking age of 35, ivf pregnancy and previous gestational hypertension that I would need clexane from 28 weeks.

According to the risk factors here it’s not required. I’m overly cautious so would prefer to take them if previously advised.

What’s peoples thoughts on this?

thanks

the rcog antenatal thromboprophylaxis guideline is easily googleable. The difference in advice may be due to interpretation of your age/BMI (the guideline says greater than 35yrs & BMI30 rather than greater-than-or-equal to 35/30). Maybe go back to your obstetrician if you're worried?

In south wales it’s a bmi over 45 along with age over 40 it’s crazy how different the guidelines are.

I’m in south wales, BMI of 30 and on clexane so must be different for the trust you’re in.

I only hit the threshold once I reached my 35th birthday though (I was 20 weeks then)
