Looking for some advice , so I’ve taken quite a few pregnancy tests over the week due to missing a period from around the 6th / 8th of April. And these are the results I’m having. I had a bad miscarriage at 11 weeks just 3 months ago and just wanting to make sure it’s definitely positive , the second photo is a test I took just yesterday but the second line seems to be lighter than the others. Got really bad anxiety this time round also as what I went through 3 months ago was very traumatic and at the same time the scariest time of my life

Was your last period due 6/8 April? If so, I’d expect your test lines to be much stronger as you’d be 9-10 weeks pregnant by now.

Hi. No sorry that was around the day of my first last period. So I had one proper period again after my miscarriage and it was around that date. Nothing since then

Sorry I didn’t put that correctly on message. My mistake

If I were you I’d probably get a scan, as i would still expect stronger lines at 5/6 weeks which you would be. Given you’ve had previous MC, call the early pregnancy unit - they saw me at 6 weeks in my current pregnancy because I’d had a MC before.

Thank you , I did call the GP and midwifery unit and explained etc they just said that I’ve to test again in a couple of weeks but I’m so anxious not knowing. I’ve done about 11 tests now and all positive, but the one I took yesterday was like the lighter 2nd line. They said it’s maybe cause I’m just too freshly pregnant , but I’m not too sure. My miscarriage 3 months ago I was just almost at 12 weeks so it was pretty bad to be fair. I asked if they’d see me earlier this time round and my midwife said that they wouldn’t be able to see anything at all just now

Please remember pregnancy tests aren’t designed for pregnancy progression , it only indicates if pregnant or not

If you are worried about hcg not going up and lines you could test every week on a digital one that indicates hcg is going up so next week it should say 2 to 3 weeks and then 3+ you can't get any higher than 3 + , hope this helps x

I've had 4 miscarriages so understand the line obsession. You could buy finger prick HCG tests that you send off 48 hours apart. You can book in a private scan for 7 weeks, but go to a proper medical scanning place, not a 'window to the womb' type. On my successful pregnancy I did have some days where the lines seemed to get lighter, but as a previous poster stated they're not meant to be used to for that, although many (including me!) try to. I never got a 'dye stealer' even at 8 weeks pregnant. I would caution against the clearblue weeks indicator as it caused me a great deal of worry as it gave me false low results, confirmed by blood tests.
