Hi, I am due tomorrow and as luck would have it I think I have got my first pile! I am very heavily pregnant and it turned up yesterday. Apart from liberal anusol cream what else can i do? do they go after baby born? how do you push with them? I am seeing MW tomorrow

First of all good luck with the birth.

I currently have them too ( I'm 31 weeks with #3), with ds1 I had piles towards the end, and dreaded giving birth for the same reason as you. It was fine - piles are the least of your worries when you're pushing and I found that afterwards mine went very quickly. Take some dried apricots and fresh orange in to make your 1st poo afterwards not too hard !
