first 12 weeks were a write off for me and food! it will calm down! try full fat yoghurt, cheese, protein shakes, beans and pulses or fish if you can stomach!!

I don't have advice but I just wanted to say don't worry about your diet too much in first trimester. It's normal for tastes to be all over the place with sickness. I have had HG in all three of my pregnancies for the first half so my diets were terrible and my babies have always been fine. I just ate healthily for the second half of my pregnancies once I could.

I'm also vegetarian and get enough protein fine on a veggie diet, so if you do want some suggestions of veggie protein sources there are: eggs, cheese, yoghurt, nuts and nut butters, tofu, baked beans, beans/pulses like chickpeas etc, hummus, Quorn products and similar, peas, edamame beans...

Yeah I was like this with my 3rd. She's now 2.5 and although I eat meat again it's not as appealing and I don't eat as much.

I ate lots of pasta and veggie sauce, baked potatoes with various toppings, and quite a lot of fake/veggie meat like veggie sausages and things. Also loads of toast and noodles, ice cream, sweets by the kilogram... The usual pregnant stuff 😁

This always happens to me in the first trimester as well (pregnant with third).

I try and fight it the first week and then give up and just eat what I can stomach which is usually the most ridiculous combinations of food. I've always found once I go into the second trimester my eating habits return to normal.

Same here, went off all meat and veg! Currently living on baked potatoes, beans and cheese 🤣

Yes with my first. I suddenly couldn’t stomach chicken and then gradually went off all other meat. Post birth it reversed and all I wanted was a nice juicy steak then eventually began liking chicken again.

Ehh, don’t fight it.
Im also one of them not wanting meat at all. And I am 5+months in now. There’s no guarantee the will for meat will resurface post 12 weeks but you should eat what you want. I have been heavy on dairy protein, it’s been going for a long time. Milk, cheese, sour cream…
you can gain protein from legumes, chickpeas, dairy, fish.
Meat is just another brick in the protein wall.

Yep, I went off all meat this time and now I'm 33 weeks I'm just starting to be able to eat some again. I've just been eating cheese, not sure what other protein I've been getting. Try not to worry, baby will still get what it needs
