Hello

Just thought I would pop in and ask you guys your advice.

I still have my Morning Sickness but over the past few days I have been feeling very very very thirsty.

I can't work out of its a dry mouth or thirst.
I am drinking loads and loads of water but am I also craving fizzy drinks
Has anyone had this before?

Thank you everyone.

yes -asked midwife about it (it would have been about 10-11 weeks) as was a bit worried. She checked glucose in urine to be sure but did seem pretty relaxed about this being a phase. Thirst did die down after around 14 weeks was just as well- was water , weak decaff tea and orange I craved

It's completely normal to feel really thirsty in pregnancy - your body is producing lots of extra fluids in the form of extra blood and amniotic fluid, and it has to come from somewhere!
The only bad thing that can result in great thirst is diabeties, but that is really rare, and your midwife will be testing for it before too long anyway.

I had this during my 1st trimester, was drinking about 3-4ltrs of water a day and yet still felt thirsty! posted about it at the time and apparently it's completely normal.
(make sure if you are craving fizzy drinks they don't contain too much caffeine and that you do drink at least mimimum of 2ltrs water a day)

yes me too at various point (going through another thirsty phase at 35 weeks). What i found really helped was a bit of innocent smoothie topped up with fizzy water. aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Same here, particularly around that time. I went through a mad orange Lucozade phase in addition to my normal trough-fuls of fizzy water
