Low Blood Pressure - how to feel better

I'm not sure if the way I'm feeling is down to my blood pressure being low? (been getting lower on each visit, last it was around 90/50) I'll be getting it checked again on Tuesday so will find out.

I'm feeling very weak & lightheaded, moreso than usual but it could just be because I'm finding my job harder now (childminder, lots of lifting heavy babies/rushing about) I'm nearly 29 weeks pg.

Anyway, I just wondered if there are any tips on dealing with this? What can I do to get more energy and a steady head? Or have I just got to put up with this for the next 9 weeks of work?

TIA

mine is also 90/50 and i always get lightheaded if standing for more than about 10 minutes and have had a few dizzy spells in situations where i haven't been able to sit down! My advice would be to drink lots (I have sports drinks at work - they seem to help more, probably because of the salts), sit down whenever possible and take it easy. I've always had low bp and its just one of those things, there isn't really a treatment as such unfortunately.

Thanks. I presume the sports drinks don't have caffiene in? (did think about getting lucazade but sure that's full of caffiene).

Sitting down and resting not very easy tbh due to my job but I will definitely drink more if that helps (must say I don't drink enough as forget).

Thanks for the tip

well i drink gatorade (just what we have in the vending machine!) its not fizzy so i can drink a good 500ml bottle in an hour which usually perks me up a bit. Its not got caffeine in but has lots of horrible sounding e-numbers so i'd see if i can find something more natural if i were you.

Thanks for that, will do
