Final holiday before baby arrives - where to go for swimming in early June?

Any recommendations where to go for a swimming holiday in the first week of June? I’ll be 26 weeks pregnant so we are looking for somewhere easy enough to get to (no long flights or too far away from an airport), good medical provision and safe (I’m ruling out North Africa and probably also Turkey for these reasons) and weather/ocean warm enough to swim.

I was swimming in the sea in Crete in first week of June last summer, no idea on hospitals though as I wasn't pregnant then.

Malta is a good choice

Cyprus, longer flights for Europe but excellent health care.

I am currently in Palma Nova Majorca and it is so lovely. Very easy to get to, 2.5 hour flight from UK and 20 min drive from airport, great beaches and pools.

Greece, Crete or Cyprus would be nice

I normally go to Greece, zante or Kefalonia or Skiatos in June for my birthday, have used a hospital in Zante before my husband split his head open at the water park

Majorca / Menorca water temp is usually in the low 20s in Early June - 20-21 normally in the first week. Both have good hospitals.

Cyprus water temp is usually slightly higher - 22-24 in early June. Also excellent healthcare.

Sardinia. We were there for a heatwave (40+, way too hot!) a few years ago in June but even normal temps mean the sea is warm. Italy is also very family friendly so you will get offered seats and things being pregnant!

I actually thought about Sardinia, my DH thinks it might be not warm enough for swimming, so I’ll tell him about the heatwave!

Sicily, fly to Catania and go to Giardini Naxos or anywhere in the area. No idea about hospitals but Catania is the capital and must have some decent ones. Just don’t go to the Eolian islands!

Sardinia water temps are usually around 20 first couple of weeks of June - it’s usually a little warmer on the south coast than the North plus you’re closer to Cagliari which has larger hospitals

We are looking at a week in Ksamil, Albania for when I’m around 25 weeks! It looks STUNNING.

@CaptainCabinets I’ve been to Ksamil last year, it’s amazing! Just a bit tricky to get there, we flew to Tirana and then it’s either public transport but that’s hit and miss in Albania, or driving but the streets and driving style of locals are a bit scary.
