Early scan measuring behind

Hi

I've just had an early scan and should be 6+3, but I've measured 5 weeks!

I'm certain of my period because I note it down every month.

She could see a sac but nothing inside. :-(

Coming back for another scan in a week.

Anyone experienced this, what does it mean? Is this a bad sign..

Tia

I don't understand. You said you were 6 + 4 ten days ago.

That makes you about 8 weeks today.

Yes, sorry - you're right I should have been but they said as I was measuring 5 weeks - it could have been that I ovulated later so my pregnancy is earlier than I expected..

It's a right mess with the dates!

How can you know for sure? OPKs give you a positive when you are going to ovulate in the next 72 hours. Unless it was IVF.

@User79853257976 we literally only did it that one time hence why we know.

@TheShellBeach

It's been 7 weeks 1 day since my last period and according to the last scan I should be 6 weeks 4 days.

I'm sat in the waiting room waiting for the doctor to call me. I can only assume they'll do more blood tests to check hcg levels and another scan after maybe 10 days..

It's the unknown that frightens me and the anxeity of not having any control of this situation!

I'm sorry you've previous miscarraiges, it's horrible isn't it! Flowers

OP, have they seen a heartbeat?
i had my 12 weeks scan and yes we’re behind but all was ok. Turns out just 4 days behind now we’re at this stage and no worries but when I had my early scans they were a whole week + out…
are you going to a private sonographer or a nhs fully trained one?

Hope you’re ok!

@TTwinkletwinklelil

They've only seen a gest sac - no yolk sac or fetus yet so no heartbeat.

I'm going to a NHS one and they assume that I could just be really early yet!

Glad yours went well :-) I never had any early scans with my prev dc so had no idea what to expect.
