What is it with some people though, NO tact whatsoever.

I remember when I was pregnant with my 3rd (after an 8yr gap) I'd get,

1. so was this one planned then? or
2. are you with a new partner now?

grrr .i hate comments like this.when pregnant with 3rd dc i had girl and boy-i got why are you having another youve got one of each.and oh an accident?

and when i visited my gp to confirm pregnancy i got told'i think you need to think about contraception'no congratulations etc grr

These comments really annoy me. Standard answer I donated to a friend was 'So hoping/trying for a boy this time?' Not really, fit & healthy is all I wish for. That usually shuts them up. Tactless muppets.

When we were having number 3 people didn't know why when we already had a boy and a girl.

When I was asked what I was hoping for I said a baby.

I'm getting htis big time. Have 3 dss. Everybody assumes I must be desperate for a girl . I even get them saying, as long as it's healthy, that's all that matters really, still, I bet you're hoping for a girl....

When It's born

if it's a boy I'm sure I'll get commiserations.
if it's a girl, I'm sure everyone will be ott excited, like phew, 4th time lucky. As long as they don't say anything to that effect in front of my sons

Tell him you don't mind...as long as it's not a doctor (or the profession of whatever tactless git keeps saying this)

Don't worry Misdee, I should imagine that I will get the comments the other way, being my 3rd pregnancy and having 2 boys. I can already hear the "so, are you hoping for a girl" comments and we haven't told anyone yet!
