Old wives tales - low lying but anterior placenta - boy or girl

I don't want to find out what I'm having but I literally look into every old wives tale going!

My previous pregnancy I had an anterior placenta (which apparently is more likely girl) and I had a girl. This time round it's anterior again but it's low lying and I've read that low lying usually means boy! But as it's anterior I don't which it would be?! Anyone else have a low lying anterior placenta and what did you end up having, boy or girl?!

I had a high anterior placenta with my son and a high posterior placenta with my daughter

I have a low lying anterior and I’m having a girl. I’ve also carried low which I thought was a boy thing but I can’t quite remember.

I had a fundal placenta with my DD :)

I've had 2 girls, first was low lying posterior and second was high anterior.

I had placenta previa (but also low lying anterior) so it was over the cervix but then also low and anterior. It moved up enough eventually. I had a boy.

I had a d&c for a miscarriage just before that pregnancy though, so wondered if the placenta had placed low after that. I’ll never know though.

Was it a girl or boy OP

Definitely just an old wives tale OP, placenta placement won't tell you anything about if you're having a boy or a girl.

2 girls here and I had one high and one low, one posterior and one anterior

Placenta praevia is slightly more likely to be a boy, not by a lot though. No one knows exactly why it's the case though.

High posterior with daughter, low anterior with son.

I've got 2 girls
Both low lying. One was anterior and one was posterior 😀
