Hi, went for my 20 week scan everything was fine until it come to the femur both arms and legs are equally very small.
Being referred to a specialist next week.
Seen lots of charts and stories but none as bad as my graph looks 😩
Has anyone had this please anx what's the outcome?

@Jw223 I had a prem baby when I was 18 she was born at 32 weeks and all along her arms legs and stomach was small.

I can't really remember much as she's 15 now. But I had scans often and her legs and arms where always behind. I no this might not be the same for u.

Anyways I went into spontaneous labour at 32 weeks and she was born by emergency c section and was a tiny 3 pound she was perfect. She's 15 now and taller than me.

I hope when u go back things are ok and maybe just small growth ?

Please keep us updated ! Go and enjoy your holiday and try to take ur mind off things x

I've read a lot about dwarfism and stuff and it seems to be a really bigger head along side it so I'm honestly not sure I've got so many things I'm worrying about 😩

I've seen charts be low but not so much off rhe graph like mine x

I didn't want to read and run. Sorry you are going through this. I would push for the referral. Can you afford to go private? I went to the Fetal medicine centre in London for scans when I wanted a second opinion in my pregnancy. Xx

Hiya they have put it through as a urgency and said if I wasn't going abroad tpmmroow I would of definitely been seen this week so hoping when I'm back next week I have a appointment they know I'm away so are going to email me so I don't miss the appointment they do seem very concerned and want me in ASAP. Think I already no the results in my head

I had this and had to go for weekly scans and it turned out the scans were wrong. This was last year in a big teaching hospital with a dedicated FMU and small baby clinic that people travel to from all over. But after talking to friends, so many have stories of inaccurate scans leading to unnecessary inductions and c sections etc.

its very worrying but the scans are so often inaccurate although they don’t tell you that at the time.

Overthebow · 07/05/2024 22:07

Dd they mention the overall estimated fetal weight as that’s showing as less than 5th percentile so very small? If that’s correct then maybe could just be a small baby and the arms and legs could be in proportion?

Rdonn89 · 08/01/2025 01:29

Hi op, I'm going through the same thing at the moment legs and arms measuring 2 weeks smaller, what was your outcome? Thanks
