Hello,

I think I’m currently 9 + 2 with my first baby, and last night when I went to the toilet I noticed light pink discharge/blood when I wiped, it was only there the one time when I wiped and no other blood after or this morning. I do have cramps but feels more like wind related cramps.

we had a scan at 7+1 and everything was great and a heartbeat was seen, but I’m so anxious.

has anyone else experienced this? Google says it can be normal but I’m worried!

thanks!

Hey, I experience a couple of pale pink smudges at 9 weeks with my daughter who is 3 now, at the time I was so worried and I was told it could be to do with the placenta taking over?
Do get checked if you are still worried to put your mind at rest 😊good luck xx

Also experienced this at 6+3 and even though everything I read said it was normal I checked with the midwife who offered a reassurance scan. All was well (and continues to be - currently 8 exactly so hoping it all stays okay!) While scary it really does sound completely normal x

It's so scary 😔

I bled in all 5 of my pregnancies. I have 3 children. It's not always bad news. Particularly if it isn't heavy and bright red.

Your local EPU should be able to scan to check all is ok.

I experienced this with my second baby and all OK. It is scary. Is there any way you can go to your nearest EPAU if you're in the UK? They could do an early scan again if you express that you're really concerned or perhaps see if there is anywhere private that can offer you one short notice.

Hey ladies,

thanks so much for your comments and reassurance. I ended up booking a private scan as EPU is closed and all is okay :) baby has a very strong heartbeat! I’m still going to call EPU when they’re open though just incase I have an infection as the sonographer said light pink blood comes from the cervix which could be irritation or just overdoing it.

@LeCreusetLove you’re not too far behind me! December babies xx

Hi @Babyn1 was everything ok in the end? I am in the exact same situation as you and really worried! Booked a private scan for Monday to check x
