Hair Removal

Ladies, I hate to ask, but I need advice.

What did you do about intimate hair removal, when pregnant? I’m starting to lose sight of the area, as I am plus size, and I don’t want to accidentally perform a labiaplasty on myself by shaving blind.

What would you recommend? Is waxing really painful? I don’t want to end up like a yeti, quite so early in my pregnancy! 😂

Any advice is much appreciated.

I've had waxing in pregnancy. It can be a little more painful, but I didn't find it too bad.

Thank you.
I’ve never been brave enough to wax before, only my upper lip, so I’m trying to figure out if I can brave it! 😂

Not very glamorous and some might find it weird but my husband did it for me

Otherwise a cream could work!

I use an electric trimmer. i’ve never enjoyed being totally bald anyway as the hair coming back can be itchy and annoying. Keeps it neat.

My husband shaved me!

WeightoftheWorld · 03/05/2024 13:01

I only trim anyway and then shave the bikini line. So when I was too big to see to shave my bikini line then I started getting waxed. I had actually never had a bikini wax before first pregnancy and it didn't find it anywhere near as painful as I was expecting. But I guess if you usually remove it all that would be a lot more painful to get waxed...

I’ve carried on my waxes throughout, it’s been slightly more painful occasionally but not always. I think if you didn’t wax regularly before though then now’s not the time to start so maybe just trim with a shaver.

I also waved through pregnancy, but go to a decent salon and get it done professionally. Do not try to do it yourself if you've never done it before and can't see what you are doing!

Thanks for all the feedback!
I think I’ll try an electric trimmer first.

Other than that, might have to bite the bullet and ask my partner to help me out! 😂 It’s the least he can do, I think!

I've been waxing down there and my underarms for well over a year now so I will continue with that as luckily the hair is so fine now. Don't know how I would feel if I was waxing for the first time pregnant as it's painful to begin with anyway.

SquashPenguin · 03/05/2024 15:21

I had most of it lasered off years ago, but since I can’t see what I’m doing it wax the stragglers off myself now, I’ve been using hair removal cream. Seems to work ok.

When I was pregnant I asked my husband to shave me but he refused! 😂 It can’t have been pretty to be fair… I had let it get out of control!
