I'm due to have an elective c section and not sure whether to get a post c section belt. Did it help those that have used it or waste of money?

I've had two c sections, one emergency and one elective and I never had a belt for either. I have to have an elective this time too and it does feel like your insides are going to fall out of your stomach, so be interested to hear other people's experiences.

I was given tubigrip by the hospital. It felt comfortable in that it felt like it was pulling everything in and I got a waistline back much more quickly than I expected. Probably should have worn it for longer!

I don’t feel lie I missed anything by not spending a small fortune on one but then I had a very easy recovery.

There's loooads on vinted for quite cheap so thought about trying one of them out!

I’d say waste of money. Or at least it would have been for me. It’s good to let the scar breathe. After both my sections I healed really well and was back in pre pregnancy clothes including jeans within 6 weeks which is the time it takes for your uterus to fully contract so you’re not going to get quicker than that anyway. Never felt like my insides were falling out or anything like that either even during the first post spinal walk! So I don’t know what the point of it would have been and I’d actually worry it would have been counterproductive to the wound healing during the early days. But everyone has a different recovery! You can probably get one next day off amazon if you’re struggling post birth and think it might help??

Honestly just wear high waisted knickers and that does the job. I lived in them and had no issues with healing and my scar is tiny!
