37 weeks, sharp pains in bump

Hiya everyone, I'm feeling super sorry for myself and just wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

I seem to have that cough that everyone has got at the moment but everytime I cough I get really severe pain in my bump in two places, one in a small patch near my bellybutton and the other is I'm assuming round ligament pain on the right side but I honestly cannot cope with how painful it is! It's been about 2 weeks now and it's just getting worse. When I have a coughing fit in the night it feels like my belly is going to tear open! Would round ligament pain be this bad? I'll ring my midwife in the morning but just wondered if anyone had experienced similar? Xx

Hello I know this is a few months old but was everything okay? I’ve been poorly continuously for the last 3-4 weeks and coughing so bad at times. I’ve woken today to severe pains in my bump whenever I cough and it generally feels like bruised in general. It hurts sooo much 😩 Just wanting to know if everything was okay? I’m worried when I give birth my stomach muscles are going to be torn and never the same again. Like you when I cough I honestly feel like the baby could burst out of my stomach.

@Lefmry sorry this is so delayed I've only just seen there was a reply to this. I'm just replying now incase anyone searches in the future.

I mentioned it notice my midwife but they weren't concerned at all. I was prescribed antibiotics for the cough 'just incase' and it went away soon after. Everything was absolutely fine and my baby girl was born perfectly about 3 weeks later. I'd of course convinced myself that I was having a placental abruption but we were all good! Can only assume it was round ligament! Hope all was well for you too!
