Hi everyone

I had a late miscarriage with my little girl last year and really just want some reassurance for my paranoia.

My nausea and sickness seemed to completely disappear around the 9 week mark. I have read other people experiences this too but did anyone experience this when having a girl?

im having another girl and just keep thinking of the old wives tale that sickness should be awful with them. I have had a couple of scans and baby is doing ok, but I always remember that I thought that once before too :(

I understand your anxiety...I also had miscarriage lately and I'm nervous as I'm 6 weeks 2 days and haven't felt nausea yet. The only reassurance I can give you is that my nausea with my first pregnancy ended at 10 weeks, it could be that the placenta has taken over. Hopefully it will be okay

Thanks so much! Can I ask if your first pregnancy was a girl at all? I shouldn’t be wrapped up in old wives tales I know

Yes, she was a girl and the nausea was intense but didn't last long thank god. Do you mind me asking when your nausea started

Hi lovely, I have a 3 year old girl and I wasn’t sick once during my pregnancy, just had a strong sense of smell. Wishing you all the best x

I've had 2 boy pregnancies and horrendous nausea and sickness with both, it really is an old wives tale!

9 weeks is when the placenta takes over and a lot of people report a loss of symptoms around then
