Let me start by saying, i am so so incredibly grateful to be pregnant with my second child. I truly am

But I must admit I forgot how much it actually SUCKS. Pregnancy to me feels like I’m dying of a terminal illness. I’m only 6w4d, god help me

Exhausted, constantly nauseous, acid reflux, diarrhoea & constipation all at the same time, headache, blocked nose, gassy AF (my poor husband)

I feel luckier in this one as with my first I was constantly vomiting & not able to eat. I can at least eat with this one, but it’s a chore!

Don’t know what the point of this is really to be honest, I suppose I just need to vent & hopefully relate to somebody who feels the same. Im so sad I can’t enjoy pregnancy

AAAAHHH

Hi OP

thought I’d get in here before the ‘pregnancy is amazing, beautiful, joyful blah blah’ crowd do 😂

I hated being pregnant…at every stage. Was sick all the way through, absolutely massive and always so bloody hot! I feel for you.

nothing I say will make you feel better but hang on in there as you already know it’s worth it! X

Hi Op. I feel your pain!
im around 8-9 weeks and its hellish atm!
constant nausea, exhaustion, heartburn and gassiness…. Ughhhhh

yes such a blessing but we forget how hard this is!!

totally with you.. my dh keeps saying it’s just the baby reminding you all is ok (which helps slightly due to pregnancy after multiple losses)
but when it’s your pregnancy after a successful one, meaning you have a little kid runnin around, it is so much harder because you have to still get up and be present and do the things you have to.
Last time I just slept, lay down, did next to nothing when I felt lousy… but now, no chance 🤣

I'm sorry you feel so rotten.
I hope you'll start to feel better soon.
I can't really comment as I found out so late this time, I didn't know what was pregnancy or normal!!! (currently pregnant with baby no2).
Have to say I'm struggling this time much earlier than last time. I'm nearly 33 weeks and exhausted.
Got classic insomnia, nausea, headaches, heartburn, exhaustion... not to mention hypertension and GD. The GD medication is making me so ill after every evening meal.
I can relate though. It's such a gift xxx

It’s horrible, especially when you already have a toddler so can’t just take it easy! I realised how pampered I was in my first pregnancy as it was in lockdown, no work, took naps all the time, could go to the toilet when I wanted … second time round and none of that thank you very much!

Oh man I can relate to this so so much!
The day time naps, furloughed hours!
Definitely not the same xxx

I feel you - I'm 11 weeks with my second and also hating it! This time round though I went straight for the meds which has helped a lot with the nausea. Ginger biscuits are a load of bollocks.

Hopingrae · 01/05/2024 09:59

Don't be afraid to go to GP if nausea is causing you a lot of trouble! I have a toddler and currently pregnant with DC2. I could manage the nausea much better the first time, but was totally floored for weeks this time and felt so sick I could barely move. I felt a bit of fraud going to GP as a was barely vomiting, but I was prescribed cyclizine and it really took the edge off.
It'll pass OP, but I know it feels like it'll last forever and a day when you're in it. You have my massive sympathy!

justanotherlaura · 01/05/2024 10:11

I totally agree! I love the outcome but being pregnant totally sucks! Even more so when you have a toddler to look after too!

I'm 30 weeks now with an 18 month old, the only good thing about the second pregnancy is that it has felt so much quicker this time as I'm so busy running after my son there's no time to mull over how long I've got left to go!

readyforroundthree · 01/05/2024 10:20

6.2 weeks here and feel like shit today 😣😴

Luxell934 · 01/05/2024 11:23

Yep hated it, I was really bad the first 3 months luckily after that I was fine. Just remember that it’s temporary and will pass. I used to say alittle prayer every day that I was this sick because I was pregnant and not because I actually had an illness. It put things into perspective.

moosey89 · 01/05/2024 12:46

You can be grateful for being pregnant whilst not enjoying the experience! Hope your symptoms ease off soon x

muddlingthrou · 01/05/2024 13:44

Just over 13 weeks with my second and I've got a cold on top of all the indignities of pregnancy 😡 feel nauseous 24/7, which is only relieved when I eat, but then get indigestion. My poor DH and toddler are having to put up with me moaning and groaning the whole time, but it just feels like it sucks to be alive right now! Wishing away the time at the minute to be honest.
