Hair Problems during pregnancy

Hi everyone

I posted about this before but couldn't find the thread. Anyway, is there anyone out there who has gone through this during their pregnancy. It has been going on for 7/8 weeks now and although I have new hair growing, I am scared that it will all fall out. There are no issues with my bloods/diet so I am just wondering if anyone out there had this and if so, when does it actually stop - after the pregnancy or in another few weeks?

I have gone to the GP aswell but they really have not been able to give much information on it, nor is there anything reassuring on it on the internet.

Depends what you mean by hair problems? Do you mean hair loss.

I didn't loose hair with DD1 during pregnancy but lost loads afterwards (which is normal).

This time though I have already lost loads of hair and had to cut it because it is so dried damaged. New hair is already starting to grow. My hairdresser seemed to think it was pretty normal. This is because when you are pregnant/go in labour all your non vital fuctions shut down or something and hair is not vital. I just hope I won't loose to many hair after labour.

Wouldn't worry too much if I werer you. It will grow back

needdahand, yeah I meant hair loss. My hair is also really dry looking.

I guess, that is what worries me, that more hair will be lost after the pregnancy. I still look like i have loads of hair mind you but I can't get over the amount that has come out to date. I was in the shops the other day and spotted Regaine for Women on the shelf, was nearly tempted to buy it!!!
