Negative test turned pregant

Hi! So I’m first time trying, had 3 times unprotected sex in April around the time I ovulate (not sure when I ovulated as I normally get the egg white stuff when I know I’m ovulating but didn’t get it this month). I have had 27 day cycles for the past few years, never been late even by a day and I’m currently on day 2 late (was due Friday morning) with no sign of period pains just a weird tingling sensation in my back, sometimes high then goes low.

did a pregnancy test yesterday, not pregnant (accu news) did one this morning, at first glance was negative so just left it on window sill and forgot about it for an hour or so, came back and it’s positive? Is it a fake positive? I know people say about ‘evap’ lines but aren’t they supposed to be colourless?

confused lol, I’m like 90% sure I’m pregnant as I’ve never been late and think it’s a weird coincidence? Why would it still be showing negative when I’m potentially 2-2.5 weeks past ovulation?

That certainly looks very positive. Maybe try with a different test to see if it comes up positive as well?

ahhhh 🥹 we went and picked up some clear blue early detection ones and the one that tells you if you’re pregnant how many weeks 😅 I’m too afraid to test right now so going to wait until the morning xx

I’ve got 3 more! I’m going to do 2 with my first pee tomorrow morning and see ! It said on the packet of this that you should look at the results before 5 mins but when I did at a few mins there was nothing (that I could see) there! So I’m nervous this a fake positive

I really hope it's positive for you! But please keep in mind sometimes it can be false after reading it beyond the time it tells you to. I know you're aware of that, just don't be too disappointed if it is. All the best

If it doesn't come up during the time limit given you can't trust it.

Just test again tomorrow. It might be worth ordering some cheapy tests online if you're not pregnant, testing gets expensive!

After that amount of time you can’t read it as positive, there’s also dye bleed on the strip. Re test using FMU.🤞🏻

Most negatives will turn positive eventually, which is why you have to read it in the time frame given. You have to discount that one I'm afraid.

Good luck for the morning - I had 4 negatives after my late period before a positive, so you're not out yet!

Did 2 more tests this morning which came back negative! How many days late were you?

I had a pregnancy about 7 years ago where I tested when I was a whole week late and it came back negative and then 5 weeks after that got a positive and was 10 weeks, unfortunately that pregnancy sadly ended after that.

is it possible some women have lower hcg in early pregnancy? So it’s harder to detect? Since that time I have never been late on my period and now I’m on day 3 late with actually no sign of my period just the same tingly back and punchy feeling in my lower tummy! Such a mindfuck 🤣🥹

In all honesty, wait a week or so, save your money from testing, then if still no period test

So I called my EPU after the first tests (one was a VEEEEERY faint line that was barely visible), and the nurse told me to stop testing for a week and then do another one.

You NEED to stop testing for your sanity. You will driver yourself crazy (as we've all done)

Haha yeah I never understood when I saw things before of women taking loads of tests and over analysing everything… until I started taking them myself 🤣 it’s mental how much we read into everything !!

Looks positive but I wouldn't trust the result appearing after time frame. Wait a few days to take the CB tests - they're so pricey! I only got BFP the day my period was due.
