Hi i'm 2 - 4 days late and sure that i'm pregnant, but when I did a test yesterday it was negative, and when I did another today I can't work out whether there is actually a cross there or if i'm just imagining things. Has anyone else tested negative more than 2 days after a missed period but later found out they were pregnant? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am new to all of this!

False negatives are common when you test early.

False positive are rare. So if there is a line, even faint, you might very well be pregnant.

I'd say give yourself a full week before you test. But I also know you won't wait
Try again this weekend.

Faint line or bold line - it's still a line! So there must be some HGH (is that what it's called?) to trigger the result. If you test again in a day or so you should find the line gets darker each time.

Good luck!

I took 2 tests as the lines were very very faint (so much so I thought I was imagining it) In the end DP convinced me to get a digital test (nearly died as it was £9). But well worth it as it said pregnant! Definatley can't get confused or mixed up with that.
