Bleeding 6 weeks! Pic included - baby had a heartbeat this week

I’ve just wiped this afternoon & I’m bleeding! Its really hard to describe, its mixed in with discharge & looks almost orange / pinkish

Anyone else had this & pregnancy turned out ok? I’m going to ring EPAU on Monday but will of course spend the rest of the weekend an anxious mess

I’m 6w1d & baby had a heartbeat at my viability scan just yesterday. They also found a small pocket of haemorrhage but said nothing to worry about

Also for reference I did have an orgasm (external & first one since conceiving) yesterday afternoon, wonder if that could have caused it?

thanks guys

Looks normal to me. Having any intercourse can irritate the cervix and cause bleeding. They say unless it's red it's not to be a concern.

If it continues then call EPAU for reassurance.

@Strawbs92 thank you. We didn’t actually have intercourse, was just external! Which is worrying me x

I had bright red bleeding at about 5 weeks. Was told I was more than likely having a miscarriage.
My son is now a healthy 11 year old!!
Hopefully the same for you!

I had this in my first pregnancy at 6+2, baby was fine is now a healthy 6 year old.

My pregnancy with DD2 I had a big bleed with bright red blood and clots from a subchorionic haemorrhage and she is now 15 months old.

Bleeding can occur in pregnancy for many reasons, not always because of a miscarriage or anything being wrong. Of course it can be caused by that too but there is nothing to say baby won't be ok at this stage.

My second pregnancy was a MMC discovered at my 12 week scan, I had the strongest pregnancy symptoms with that pregnancy and no bleeding whatsoever. I'm not saying this to alarm you- all I mean is that there is often no way of knowing what will happen, and no rhyme nor reason to it all.

Really hope all goes well for you, hope you get seen at EPU on Monday and have a good outcome. All the best.

Could be old implantation bleeding. I had a subchorionic heamatoma and I had multiple heavy bright red bleeds, generally I was bleeding most days (not heavy) until week 14 and it was always worse after sex and/or an orgasm.

An SCH will sort itself out and is usually nothing to worry about. Mine was gone by the time I went for my 20 week scan. My little girl is 10 weeks old now.

Do call EPAU and get it checked out though, I hope it all goes well.
