Hi. How often is normal to have your bloods done. I had them at my booking scan and then again at 28 weeks. Am currently 34 weeks. Is this normal ?

Yeah seems normal! You can always ask what they are checking for and they will let you know!

Thanks. I never see a midwife you see only ever a doctor who measures the baby and that's it. The nurse does check my urine and blood pressure so that's good.

I used to get them every two weeks in my third trimester but that was because my platelets were low. I think you’re ok :) if baby is tracking a healthy weight and you don’t have any complications, they’re just really looking for vitamin levels, platelets, iron, etc.
in your bloods so they must all be tracking fine :)

Yes that's very true @DisorganisedMummyTurningOrgnaised I think I'm just surprised at how well things have gone so far. I'm a bit older (41) and it's 15 years from my last pregnancy so the memory isn't great haha.

I'm 40 and IVF so tick a high risk box still only had 2 sets of bloods. Assume it's not necessary for more unless there's a problem
I'm 32 weeks and not been measured either as I have a 32 week growth scan booked all they do is check heartbeat, urine and blood pressure.

I’m 36 weeks and have had my bloods done 4 times but I’m getting extra checks due to history of anaemia.

I had them done at booking, 16w (fetal dna check as I'm rh negative) and 28w. I then had them done weekly from 36w but that was related to my blood pressure as i eventually went on to develop preeclampsia.
