Feel worse after 12 week scan, NT measurement seems high

I had my 12 week scan today, they measured me ahead at 13w2d. In fact everything looked great, very active baby, saw some of the organs you don't normally see this early like the kidneys. Really I should be all excited at such a positive scan but the NT measurement was 2.5 and I'm really upset by that. The person doing the scan said it's normal, the person who took my blood after and explained the combined test to me also said the measurement on its own is normal. She said anything below 3.5 is fine. But if I google it there are so many results saying this is high! Lots of people and studies saying a result 2.5 or above is higher risk. Most people seem to have a result less than 2! I'm convinced something is wrong with the baby and I don't want to announce the pregnancy or talk to anyone, I just want to curl up in a ball and be alone until I get the screening results. I've put me and my husband on a total downer now, this is supposed to be a happy day 😞

Where are you seeing that this is high?

2.5 is classed as normal, 3.5 or above is classed as intermediate risk. If they were concerned they would tell you so and follow up accordingly. Please try to relax, it is well within the normal range.

My NT was 2.5 everythig come back 1 in 5000

Don’t google. Just wait for the results which I really think will be low risk. And announce whenever you like! I told early, there’s no magic safe point

Mine was 3.9 and NIPT still came back low risk.

NT is not a diagnostic tool, there is just a statistical correlation with heart and genetic disorders once above 3.5

2.5 is fine

Trust the medical professionals, they honestly wouldn't tell you everything is fine if it wasn't..
Enjoy your pregnancy 💕

Also speak to your midwife for further reassurance if needed

Thanks everyone who replied, I've calmed down a bit now but keep coming back to this thread to read it again. I'm functioning now but still have this sense of forboding and keep having little panic moments, that something's gonna be wrong. Not long to wait now I suppose to see whether I get a phonecall or not.

UPDATE: risk came back 1:750. I know there are people out there frantically googling "12 week scan NT 2.5" and this thread will come up!
I actually rang them after 3 days and asked for the result. It's such a weight off my mind I don't know what to do with myself now.
