1st baby early/on time or late?

Just intrigued especially in IVF pregnancies, 32 weeks with my 1st. Many people tell me that the 1st is usually late but is that actually the case? My niece was 2 weeks early so she didn't follow that trend.
I am being recommended induction at 40 weeks but I would rather she came on her own before then (not too long before mind!) but just wondering what the odds might be..?! Especially as it's an IVF pregnancy so there is no doubt on dates.

Mine was early by the nhs dates(4 days early! - but by my calculations he was bang on time.

When I was pregnant with my first, the midwife told me the average first baby was born at 40+8. Given how early prem babies can be, that tells you a lot! Then NICE guidelines changed and when I next saw her the same midwife was trying to convince me to have an induction at 41 weeks.

Two weeks early.

all my friends had their first early (mine was 6 weeks early but most were in the week before their due date). They're now all starting on their seconds and so far all been at least a week overdue!

Weird!

My first was born 2 weeks early, second 2 days late

mine came 11 dates late- ended up having a section - baby wasn’t for moving anytime soon

I went into labour the day before my due date and he was born very early in the morning of his due date. I was shocked though because in my hypnobirthing classes they said that 50% of first time mums are still pregnant at 41 weeks

Hmm interesting so far and seems like I can be hopeful she may come a bit early or even on time. Haven't discussed birth options etc yet got a growth scan next week so will see what that brings.

Ds was born 38 weeks
Ds was born 36 weeks induced due to size.

1st 6 days late
2nd 6 days late
3rd 8 days late
4th 1 day late
5th 2 days late
6th 4 days late

None induced, they just came when they were ready. Some longer than others, those 8 days were a nightmare lol

All my three were 40+4 was induced with first 2 and went into natural labour with last one but all born on 40+4 x

My eldest was born at 40 + 5 but I am the eldest and apparently I came 10 days early 😁

Due date

Mine was three and a half weeks early. Thank goodness as he was already over 10lbs (and I know my dates are right because I got my last period on my honeymoon so remembered dates exactly).

Arrived at 42+1 😂 had two sweeps but little one was staying put!

My son was born exactly a week early! I had a feeling he'd be early too

My first was late, and my second was late too. Pfff. Im such an impatient person as well ahahaha
