Should this be darker 19 DPO?

Hello!

whilst typing this I realise I may be losing my mind , but comfort is what I am looking for! This is pregnancy number 2 and I honestly thought I would be more calm and collective and my lil toddler would keep my mind off every small detail!

I took an Asda home brand test today (after having multiple positives and week indicator now at 2-3) but wanting to keep an eye on my Hcg levels!

should this not be solid by now? Or do I need to stop reading and calm down!

thanks

I’m pretty much in same boat! But have been using the cheapies every single day! And paranoid as feel like todays is lighter 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Sorry! No help - but I am also as crazy! Had chemical in Jan so I just feel a lot more concerned this time. I am only 16 DPO I think. They have been tracking okay but feel today is slightly lighter! Wahhhh I also thought with a toddler wouldn’t be as worried!

Lalaland13 · 23/04/2024 07:08

My logical mind is - it’s still postitive, I think from my son - I never had a dye stealer but I don’t think I tested as much!

Lalaland13 · 23/04/2024 07:11

My crazy mind. Really feel most rescebt lighter than yest but maybe when dried will be comparable

Thanks! I mean I can clearly see it’s the darkest it’s been … but still not dark enough for me! I want that solid BFP!

I also took the clear blue week indicator last week which said 1-2 weeks , then took another one yesterday which was 2-3 weeks so clearly progression but I am literally going insane!

we are probs over worrying and just being extra cautious ! Xx

I feel this looks the same or bit darker than yesterday! I know it can take a couple of days to increase! I’m the first to give advice and say all looks ok with yours but won’t stop worrying about mine! lol x

Tests looks really dark @Rachlovex, I was worrying about test darkness around the same dpo and ended up getting a hcg test and levels were good. If you can, book hcg tests 48 hrs apart to see if levels are increasing ok x

5dpo v 7dpo ?

Livingonhope · 23/04/2024 08:02

From a serial tester myself step away 😂I am 21 dpo today and was obsessing on line progression clear blue week indicator the works and it started to really affect me. get hcg done if you are REALLY concerned but these tests all work differently and pick hcg up differently. Big love...you have got this!

Lalaland13 · 23/04/2024 08:12

Would love solid line too!! Not sure they ever happen though, was just looking for my son pregnancy and couldn’t see any pics but I don’t remember it ever being solid. See more I look at mine! More wondering if starting to go faint! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Itonlytakesone · 23/04/2024 08:21

The picture isn't that clear but in real life it looks different I can definitely see a faint line I'll be testing every day now Confused

Thank you! I know I feel I am getting obsessed!! I mean if I hadn’t been testing so early and just tested now I would be over the moon with this result … this is the problem with testing early! Again thank you so much x

5dpo v 7dpo ?

this is what mines looked like at the same time as you with these tests but I didn’t really like them and stuck to clear blue and Asda. Clear blue early detection is the best :)

Stop testing man. They're not medical tools.

stairgates · 23/04/2024 08:54

Sometimes the positive can be too strong after a while and you actually need to dilute your pee to get a stronger line, not sure when abouts this occurs though. Maybe try testing later in the day if this was first morning pee.

I was the same I found out 11 dpo and literally have been line checking every day but it was Il get my bloods done and I was worried my hcg was only 140 at 4 weeks at first draw ( even though dr said it was fine...what does she know..right?) I then became obsessed of wanting to redo bloods every 48 hours to check for a double this is when I had a reality check with myself it's not going to change anything

you have a positive test ✅
it's not getting lighter ✅
you have no concerning bleeding ✅

pregnant until proven other wise ❤️

Aw thanks love 🩷!

You are so right it’s crazy the stress we are under from the day we find out! We just want to get the ok, then the other stresses happen but I always remember this part being the hardest!

i hope you are doing well x

@Rachlovex
Thanks, I'll keep doing these until Friday when I get a clear blue brought home. I feel pregnant that pressure in your lower tummy is so obvious so nervous Confused

Peonies12 · 23/04/2024 11:51

Positive is positive. Tests cannot predict the outcome, assume all is fine unless you started having bleeding.

JRTfan · 23/04/2024 12:34

I am 32 weeks nearly and never got a really strong positive on cheap tests even though my HCG was over 6000!
Had a dye stealer on a first response and a very strong clear blue but had IVF so knew exact dates. It's hard not to worry but sometimes it's just the dye in the tests I was told if there's a line it's positive it doesn't matter how dark it is..
Also week indicator tests are horrible! Sonographer told me they are banned in some countries because they are so inaccurate..

Lilac90 · 23/04/2024 13:36

Some tests also come up a bit lighter than others. I took 2 different pink dye tests using the same sample. On one the test line was still slightly lighter than the control line, but on the premom tests the line was completely solid and actually slightly darker than the control line (I'm about 23 dpo).

I'd been driving myself crazy with it too but just shows how much it can vary.

Lalaland13 · 23/04/2024 14:02

Ahh that is helpful @Lilac90 - honestly it drives you bonkers. I’ve done another test today and at first I thought was darker but now it’s dried it’s same as first one I did today. So stressful!

Lilac90 · 23/04/2024 15:59

The blue Amazon pink dye tests stopped progressing for me around 18dpo so I was a bit worried.

I took a pink premom test yesterday at 23dpo and you can see the line is darker, yet on the other tests they all looked pretty similar.

Should this be darker 19 DPO?

Lalaland13 · 23/04/2024 16:01

I guess at least they didn’t get lighter though - were all the Amazon ones different days and samples?
