I had a growth scan today due to my tachycardia, at exactly 32 weeks today

she then asked have I had a gestational diabetes check before I went out and look t notes to see the weight I said no?
they didnt rebook a growth scan and I asked her 100 times if everything was ok she said its normal results?
so why did she ask about gestational diabetes?
is 4lb 11 big for 32 weeks> should I be concerned ?

nothing I just dont like blood tests especially when I cant eat before as I feel even more faint, a lot of people just say the drink is so bad but I actually liked It lol
it was fine but im sure people with HG and bad sickness would've struggled especially to down a 250ml drink. that fast

Oh I see, yes that must be horrible for people feeling really sick 😩

im abit worried about birthing a big baby im only 5ft I feel like it would destroy me lol

I was worried too. Consultants and midwives had different views on whether a c-section would be best (I had an emergency one with my first so had no interest in an early induction). I was able to speak to the women's physio team who were great and reassuring. In the end, babies growth did come down with the diet so was measuring "normal" so wanted to give a vaginal delivery a go. Ended up at 8lb 6, pretty much what the scan estimated.

Second GD pregnancy here.
My babies are the other side of the scale. Measuring small with slow growth.
First was managed by metformin after only a week or of being diet controlled. This time has been metformin and insulin controlled. Diet controlled less than a week!
It's so overwhelming and upsetting when it happens I was so upset my first pregnancy.
Been a faff this time with extra medications.
Blood testing is such a pain! I always end up
Missing something!
Being induced again around 37 weeks.
The key is as pregnancy continues your body struggles more and it's likely your demand for medication or insulin will increase.
Mines very well managed atm but the specialist said to me yesterday it's highly likely your units of insulin or amount of tablets might increase.
We have got this ladies, it's hard, it's a faff... but we can do this 🩷

thanks guys, is it bad id be happy if they induce me at 37 weeks? im miserable, I am managing to be diet controlled controlled been a week 3 days so far, fasting numbers good but im so depressed with this eating bs,
I hate every meal time I like dread it! Im just sticking to the same meals everyday as its easier, im not even hungry so im just eating to eat basically and I know its so selfish but I just want some chocolate lol
my due date is mid June and I cant see myself dealing with this for 4 more weeks I really really cant
but I have a growth scan Monday so I guess well see but I dont actually see anyone about it til the following week which is annoying when ill be over 37 weeks already 🫣

Just eat some chocolate.
My diabetic nurse said to me we aren't saying cut everything out. Just have things in Moderation.
I've had baby shower cake and a few treats.
As long as you write a note to explain the high reading you should be fine!
Don't make yourself unhappy, crap MH won't do anyone any favours xxx
You've got this lovely 😘
