As the title suggests really.

I'm 38 weeks and whenever baby moves it is so painful both in my ribs and low down. Is this normal? (Sods law - it tends to mostly be at night when I'm trying to sleep!)

When I was near the finish line with my 2nd, I thought I was personally reenacting an alien movie when then alien bursts out from some poor sods body. It was wild and very painful. In fact, the birth was easier than the pregnancy near the end. Nighttime was definitely the worst. I don't think I slept for more than 2 hours a night for a week before the birth.

I had feet, bum & elbow bulges when I was pregnant with ds, he always started dancing when I was trying to concentrate at work or trying to go to sleep. I found being on my hands & knees helped or having a bath.

Yep my sister has been through this in all 4 of hers.

Thanks for the replies all. I was just beginning to worry but you have reassured me!

It only ever tends to be when I'm laying down and trying to sleep!

I remember sharp jabs right on my cervix with the head when it was near my due time. Felt like a really rough smear test !!

Yeah, I feel that. It's almost like baby is doing star jumps whilst headbutting the inside of my foof at the same time.

The joys!

This is my second baby but almost 13 years apart so it very much may as well be my first, I can't seem to remember a thing!

On a positive note with my 2nd and 3rd there was a lot of stabby head bangs for a few weeks and then very fast births so in a way I think the head was preparing my cervix for a fast delivery so take these sore ones as one contraction less in a few weeks time !!
