Hi,

Before I knew I was pregnant I was getting bad headaches, really bad wind, and really bad fatigue. And then when I got the positive test I realised why I'd be feeling so rubbish! But it seems like pretty much after I tested positive 14dpo they all went? Is that normal? I'm worrying about a chemical. im now 5W4D
My first pregnancy I didn't have any symptoms till 8 weeks so I wasn't too bothered about not having any yet it's more just that I had strong ones that went? Could it maybe be conception/implantation symptoms
I was worried about my progression line but eventually it's progressed and I got the dye stealer yesterday at 22dpo. Just wondering if anyone has experienced sjmilar? I'm just anxious

I'm in the same boat though I'm only 4 weeks one day I had sore breasts and headaches now that's gone was also worried about line progression and today I got a slightly lighter line( albeit it was a different time of day) so I went and got bloods done today to save my sanity ❤️ not on your own sending you positive thought s

That's similar to me then, around time of period the symptoms disappeared.
Yeah I got my bloods done too, yesterday, just annoyingly over a weekend. I've booked an early scan too. I had it booked for Monday but I've pushed it back to be around 7 weeks cause I think I'd be more anxious if I wasn't as further along as I thought.
Well if my progression lines are anything to go by they were similar to yours for 14/15dpo, And I'm 23 dpo now (I think) and they got stronger, but they took their time! Ha
Hope your bloods come back ok, everything crossed for you!

congratulations on your pregnancy!

I’ve learnt symptoms don’t confirm how viable a pregnancy is..
My first pregnancy ended in MMC I had loads of symptoms, other 2 early MC had symptom's.
this pregnancy I am now 32 weeks and didn’t have any symptoms and some episodes of small bleeds/spotting. All is still well with baby.

Hope this helps reassures not to focus/worry too much about symptoms! Xxx

123clc · 20/04/2024 08:03

Thank you l! it was more having them at the start then not having any since finding out that I'm worried about, but then wonder if implantation causes symptoms or something. I would agree when I had a chemical I had more symptoms than when I had my daughter. Guess it's a waiting game 😆

Also congrats on your pregnancy! Not long for you :)

@123clc Congratulations on your pregnancy, I'm similar to you 5 and 4 days, not many symptoms at all, started out with more. Kind of wanting some time of nausea symptoms to start lol

Had a blood test the other day and hcg levels are at a good level, hoping they'll keep doubling.

Hope your blood test results are good and help you until your first scan, it's a difficult time in the first trimester x

123clc · 21/04/2024 19:41

Congrats to you too! I know same 😂 although I will regret saying that. I lost weight my last pregnancy because I just always felt sick, so far I'm just eating everything in sight!
Will you be getting another blood test? My results come back tomorrow eek 🤞🏼

OP posts:
T2024 · 21/04/2024 20:49

🤣🤣 @123clc I know, it's mad we want to feel nauseous! Also eating all round me, must be the progesterone.

Aw I hope your results are great tomorrow, fingers crossed x

Yeah hoping to get a blood test this Tuesday and fingers crossed numbers increase. If GP doesn't allow it though, I think I'll just book an early scan.

Symptoms have been hit and miss last day or so, but kind of returning at night so hoping they naturally fluctuate!

123clc · 22/04/2024 08:32

What were you hcg levels ? Looking at my records look like they were 910 at 5 weeks4 days. I know that is in normal range but seems at lower end. Im stressing now 😖

OP posts:
T2024 · 22/04/2024 09:08

@123clc That's good levels! Before my last blood test at 5&2 I was hoping for around 900 and got 5170 but i think I have high hcg in pregnancy as my first born was super high at that point. Yours looks good! It's the increase that you're looking for, as one test alone won't tell you much.

what was your last hcg number to compare? You can put the two numbers in an online hcg calculator to see the doubling percentage rate.

I'm hoping to get retested tomorrow but absolutely unsure of how it'll go, it's so stressful 🥺

123clc · 22/04/2024 10:11

Ahh ok. I noticed on my test it says repeat in 48hours but they haven't got in contact with me yet, I'll ring at lunch time. I never had bloods before this, and didn't have Hcg done in last pregnancy either so nothing to compare with . It is so stressful haha. Your levels seems so high and good though!

So I rang the doctors, they wouldn't let me speak to a GP. But they said the blood tests showed "faint pregnancy" and I would just need to come in the surgery to do a urine sample?! Like no further bloods or anything. This has stressed me out even more. I'm worried I read the blood tests wrong and it wasn't 900 but I did think this was in normal range if it was? So odd

I dont get whyu they are asking for urine Bloods are always more accurate! I would have read your results the same way get back on to them my gp kept txting me rather than speaking so I kept calling until I got through :(I got bloods done private they gave me the whollleee detail then got bloods NHS and all I got was a txt to say "in range" so I know how annoying it is

123clc · 22/04/2024 16:08

Ah that is annoying! Have you been on the app to see the exact numbers? I've ended up rearranging my scan for tonight . Il probs be more stressed after tonight but hopefully not!

Not proud of the fact I tortured them until they told me! ahhhhhhh I'm sure you are so excited you have to let me know how you get on! mine is next Friday but given hcg levels doubt I will hear a heartbeat so early so that will no doubt send me to panic mode! Good luck my lovely x

123clc · 22/04/2024 19:44

As suspected I'm more worried! Only saw a yolk sac no embryo :( but they didn't say defo a miscarriage or anything. Just have to wait and see I guess, wish I waited!

OP posts:
T2024 · 22/04/2024 19:58

Aw @123clc I'm sure that's normal at the hcg you're at? Try and get booked in for another blood test to check numbers are doubling and you'll feel more relieved. Then get a scan once your numbers are up x

I'm due to get bloods taken tomorrow but feeling defeated already, can't shake the feeling of something having went wrong and levels will be decreasing 🥴 lol its so hard to stay positive.

123clc · 22/04/2024 20:03

Isn't it! Good luck for bloods tomorrow! I'm gonna ring and see if they will take my bloods again. I need to ring anyway cause they found a large cyst on one of my ovaries

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I was sent the following
The "threshold value" the lowest value at which one would expect to see something on ultrasound was:

  • Gestational sac: 390 mIU/ml

  • Yolk sac: 1,094 mIU/ml

  • Fetal pole: 1,394 mIU/ml

so If you are only 910 hcg then you wouldn't expect to see the yolk sac or fetal pole yet? again don't know hpw reliable but maybe gives you some reassurance. What is your official week and day today?

123clc · 23/04/2024 06:50

I was supposed to be 6 weeks yesterday . I did ovulate late tho I ovulated day 17, so would that technically make me 5w3d yesterday? My levels were taken last Thursday so I would have thought they would increase. Can't have another ultra sound for 2 weeks now, this is gonna be hell! I'm gonna beg the drs to do another blood test at least. have you contacted your midwife yet? ive never heard from mine

No I haven't heard from one yet I'm through the NHS fertility clinic so I see them next Friday although I think il be in the same boat as you because of my low hcg ( although its def raising) I'm hoping them bring me back at 8 weeks again otherwise il go private to give me peace of mind before holidays!

123clc · 23/04/2024 10:40

Hope it goes well! Let us know :)

I'm going to pay to go private again. I spoke to the doctor and she said reception were reading that I had a faint test, and not that the blood tests were showing a "faint pregnancy" I was thinking I've not heard it described like that!
She eased my mind and said bloods are normal and good to see a yolk sac, probably just too early to see anything else. And she said the symptoms I had and went are probably conception symptoms, so still plenty time for pregnancy symptoms .
I know I ovulated on day 17 so that's probably why, does it totally push your dates back?. She won't do bloods again though :( hope the 2 weeks fly 😂
