Symptoms gone at 9 weeks! Worried

I had really strong symptoms from 5-9 weeks. Nausea, food aversions, fatigue. They have eased off massively since 8+6, since then I have had the very occasional day of feeling off food and that’s it.

Seen a good fast heartbeat and right-size bean on a 8+2 scan.

Just so worried that the lack of symptoms could point towards a missed miscarriage. Everything I seem to read says symptoms should be at their peak between 8-10 weeks. Mine peaked at 8 weeks and now pretty much nothing.

Has anyone had this and things turn out fine?

It’s fine, some people get no symptoms, some people can’t even keep water down. Just means your placenta has taken over from your hormones.

I am 13 weeks now and I had exactly the same thing. I had horrible symptoms from week 6-9 and they suddenly just went away. I didn’t even have sore boobs anymore. I was constantly googling and checking these forums and loads of people had the same thing as us. There’s talk about the placenta starting to kick in at around 9 weeks so this could be why we stopped feeling symptoms. I had a MMC in my last pregnancy so the loss of symptoms made me riddled with anxiety. My only advice is to book another scan for around 10 weeks to put your mind at rest, this helped me understand that I can have no symptoms and baby can still be ok.

I’m 9+5 and could have written this! I’ve been so nauseous up to 9 weeks and only wanting to eat beige carbs. This week I’ve had salads every day and have much more energy. I’m even thinking of going for a run tomorrow - unheard of over the last few weeks.

i had a scan at 6 weeks which went well, so I’m really hoping it’s all going to work out. Just over 2 weeks till the 12 week scan!

Just wondering if everything turned out okay for you? I'm going through the same now at 9 weeks 3 days! Thank you

Hiya, this was my thread originally, all was fine and I am now 34+4. Symptoms did come back the week after. It can be normal for them to fluctuate. All the very best xxx

Congratulations! I am currently 37+5 but my symptoms did not come back and I have had a generally smooth sailing pregnancy (apart from heartburn and haemorrhoids - sorry tmi!). Definitely normal to fluctuate x

@Rainbowflower2024 Hey, I'm 20 weeks now so everything turned out fine! My symptoms were on and off from 9/11 weeks then all my symptoms completely vanished from 12 weeks! Hope this helps

Rainbowflower2024 · 18/12/2024 09:02

@Lps thank you for replying! Ahh that’s good! I’m feeling nauseous still but my breasts have stopped hurting. Have a scan booked in for this Saturday so hoping all is well. Thank you for the reassurance! X
