Are these normal pains?

Hi,

I'm 23weeks + 5 days pregnant. Whilst at work, for the past few hours I have been getting constant pains in the lower (mainly left) side of my stomach/abdomen. It's hard to describe the pain specifically but it's not a sharp shooting pain, more a constant aching and pressure. I'm not sure whether to be concerned or not.

I dont drive or know anyone else who does, cant afford a taxi at the moment and have no one near by who can help. Public transport has significantly reduced and is unreliable too due to a pending strike. So I have no way of getting to a hospital at all this evening.

Is this something you would be concerned about? I don't know if I'm just panicking and it's due to my body growing or if its because I've been on my feet for 8 hours at work.

You need to ring maternity triage.

i would call maternity unit for advice to be on the safe side.

I am currently 31weeks and used to get a constant pain/ache on my right side every now and then I think mine was due to tramped wind/indigestion, took for ages to go!

It sounds like round ligament pain which kicked in around the same time for me but always call maternity triage if concerned about anything
