Foetal anomaly scan at 18 weeks?

I got my appointment for my 20 week anomaly scan a while ago. However, when I went for my 12 week nuchal scan, they put my dates back a couple of weeks, so now the anomaly scan will be at 18 weeks - does anyone know if they'll be able to see everything they need to at that point, or should I try to get it rearranged?

Hiya,

I would call the antental clinic and see if you can get it postponed for two weeks. Or at least get their opinion or m/w opinion.

Hi Inquisitive,
I live in Sweden and there they always do the anomaly scan at 18 weeks. The doctor who did mine is a foetal expert (works with FMC etc) and he reassured me everything can be seen, so don't worry!

That's useful - thanks Har!

I'm having mine at 17 weeks - my doc is an ultrasound specialist. Although he is doing a further cardiac scan at 22 weeks, he said 17 weeks is fine for the anatomy.
