Conception date

Hi looking for information on conception.

I have took a clear blue test which says 2-3 weeks (taken on 11 April) and my last period being March 5th. These dates would suggest I conceived in march

I know I’m 100% being delusional here but on January 12th I was sexually assaulted. Since then I had a period in February and then March. It’s not been until April I have missed my period.

just to confirm that having this sex in January would not result in a positive test now? I’m sure it was periods and not implantation bleeding as it lasted 4/5 days and was heavy?

I know I’m just loosing my mind over here but I’m right aren’t I? The baby has to have been conceived in March?

it’s too early for a scan to confirm dates

thank you in advance

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you in January. If you've had two periods since then and then missed your April period, the chances of you having conceived anytime other than March are vanishingly small. You could book a private scan for around the 7-8 week point (based on your last period that would be next week/week after) to check things are developing and get a measurement of the embryo. Measurements so early on aren't a precise science but you would absolutely, unquestionably be able to tell the difference between a baby conceived in January and one conceived in March.

I’m really sorry to hear what happened to you in January.
not sure if you’re getting any support locally?

there are more centres not on this map tool so feel free to dm and I can find you a centre.

I really can’t see there being anyway the pregnancy is from January with two periods and a 2-3 week clear blue result.

as poster above mentioned you could contact your local EPAU and ask for an early scan (after 6w from last period) to check how things are and give you some assurance on dating.

take care xx
