My first positive.. but is this line progression something I should be worried about?

Hi ladies

So I tested yesterday after having some brown discharge (that’s now gone)… and I my very faint first positive after trying for such a long time 🥹

I feel so anxious though because I took another one this morning and I feel like the lines are even fainter and the progression is not good enough? Everywhere I read it says hcg should double every 48 hrs and I just can’t stop thinking that I’m heading towards a chemical. I also know that I’m at least 12 DPO because of confirmed ovulation.

Going in for betas tomorrow but so so so anxious. What do you all think?

Congratulations! I would honestly try not to worry about line progression. Pregnancy tests only have 2 answers- pregnant and not pregnant, they were never meant to be used to track progression and you will tie yourself in knots trying to use them for that purpose. X

Stop testing before you drive yourself mad. What happens next is up to nature. I'm sorry if that's rough to hear but no amount of testing will change that. Best of luck for you!

Oh bless you. I was exactly the same, i spent a fortune testing and worrying about line progression. However, the tests only measure how much hcg is there at any give time. Changes in fluid intake affect the concentration, plus many other factors as im
sure you’ll know. A positive no matter how dark the line, is still a positive and that’s amazing so try not to worry. Congratulations x

Positive is positive. You can only wait! And remember most women test positive well past having a loss so it really isn’t indicative of outcome

@amismon hi lovely I'm in the same boat, my tests look the same as yours I'm I believe either 12/13 dpo and I feel like my last one is slightly lighter than the second one which was taken yesterday, please keep me updated and I'm experiencing the same anxieties🥲😣

Hi there, I found out at about 9/10 dpo that I was pregnant very faint lines but I am super worried about my line progression at around 11/12 dpo which was yesterday my test was nice and dark and today I feel like it looks slightly lighter and it's so frightening I really don't want it to end in a chemical I know I should stop testing and let it be what it's meant to be but it just makes me so anxious.

Thank you for the assuring words. I have stopped testing after yesterday morning and these test and I went in for Betas this morning.. fingers crossed they will come back good and that the repeated betas will show good progression too! Trying to not obsess about it since it is out of my control but its really hard..

Did you go in for blood tests yet? I went in this morning and then they want to do repeated in 48 hours to see if it doubles. I was so close to testing this morning but decided to not to as its out of my control anyways.. I’m having my fingers crossed for the both of us! x
