38 week lower back ache

As the title says really, I’ve had lower back ache all day which started around 5am and just been getting worse through out the day. I have also been experiencing lower cramps/twinges in my stomach. Has anyone had this as a sign of early labour? Or am I just getting myself worked up for the end😂. I rang MAC today and they just told me to take paracetamol and ‘see how I get on’ but it’s been no help. I am booked in for a c section next week due to complications with my first born and I’m worried/scared of going into labour beforehand.
I am completely fed up of being pregnant at this point. Symptom spotting has been my worse obsession recently haha

Hi @Beth24688 how are you getting on?
I had similar all last night! 36+4 with 2nd so holding on for now but feeling exceptionally large and low all of a sudden so that may be the cause.

Hi @Belle89, I’m still having really bad back ache which is persistent so I’m assuming it’s weight of baby. Nothing else has really come of it, I’m praying for labour to start at this point so I can feel normal again😂

All my labours started in different ways and with pain in different places. I think you should get checked out. 🤞

I am going to ring them again today, it’s hard work looking after a 1 year old and being so heavily pregnant😩. Ive still been getting the period tripe pains but no tightenings, but I’m not sure if that’s just normal

I've had that before and been in labour ...

Thankyou for your advice. I’ve been in to hospital and I’ve to go back this afternoon for a scan and to speak to my consultant. They put me on the monitor that was picking up tightenings but they were irregular
