“TMI, BLOODY MUCUS PHOTO INSERTED!” So last night my stomach went hard as a rock which lead into really weird pain/pressure in my back and lower abdomen, i started timing them and called triage, they told me to go in so they could monitor me, when they monitored me the pain was getting worse and the contractions were getting stronger on the machine, they ended up doing a cervical check to see how much i was dilated but i was less than 2cm, they sent me home and i actually managed to sleep the whole night, i woke up early this morning to go and use the bathroom and when i looked at the paper there was bright red bloody mucus, shortly after i started getting period cramps in my back and stomach, went to triage again and was still getting the tightens and pain, they said there’s not much they can do unless pain becomes more intense and regular, i’m currently sat at home with period pains still, i’m so confused and just want him out already 😞

This is how my labour started 2 weeks ago OP. Lightbulb blew in the hallway in the middle of the night, I thought it was my older DC and leaped out of bed and broke my waters. Full active labour started 30 minutes later. I wish you all the best - that is definitely your mucas plug though. How are you feeling in yourself? I felt really nauseous and hot when my mucas plug went but it took 9 hours for my waters to break.

I actually have felt nauseous and sweaty since last night! wow hopefully it does happen soon, it’s crazy how we just know it’s labour 😁

Obviously every woman is different, but for reference my wife had her "bloody show" with the same kind of cramps that you mentioned around 05:00 and didn't give birth until 14:00 the next day.

Well, that was by emergency c-section. At that point she was 8cm dilated before they decided that c-section was needed.

Best of luck with the birth of your little one!
