Aspirin in early pregnancy after previous loss

So, long story short.

I lost my previous pregnancy between 15 & 17 weeks. Birthed my DC and all tests afterward came back inconclusive. I was told, via letter, that the only advice I'd be given in my next pregnancy would be to take low dose aspirin.

This was a year ago now.

I can't remember what dose of aspirin was advised, and I won't/can't speak to a midwife until next week or week after knowing the service around here.

Has anyone been advised on taking aspirin in pregnancy? I've read conflicting information regarding when to start it and how much particularly in regards to a previous late term loss.

Hi Op,

I've suffered from recurrent loss and always been advised to take 75mg aspirin a day.

I was the same, I was taking 75mg and then after 8 weeks taking 150mg

Thanks both. Was that from conception?

I read it can affect implantation and early growth..

Yes, from conception (for my natural pregnancies) and straight after the embryo transfer (for my IVF pregnancies)

Actually, sorry, for the natural pregnancies I started the aspirin as soon as I got a positive test (so c11 dpo)

I started as soon as I got a positive test too :-)

150g for me. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and take my last dose tonight.

I was advised against taking it (2 previous MCs) but in line with NICE guidelines was prescribed progesterone from my positive test til 13/14 weeks. I started taking 150mg daily aspirin then on OB/GYN advice, til 36 weeks.
