Is it safe to have 1-2 pickled Gherkins (Tesco brand) in pregnancy?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes 🙄

Twimum23 · 09/04/2024 17:23

They was my go to food when I was pregnant with my twins

BananaNutPancakes · 09/04/2024 17:52

It's a classic American pregnancy craving. You'll be fine

AimeeLou84 · 09/04/2024 18:13

Yes they are a popular craving and reading this has just triggered mine! Tuna, gherkins and olives for dinner tonight now lol

8DPWoah · 09/04/2024 18:17

Can you give us an idea why you might think it wasn't, OP? Tesco or otherwise they are fine (although must admit I didn't eat any of my own home-pickled stuff in pregnancy just in case I'd cocked up somewhere along the line).

Thanks everyone for the reassurance.

I read a bit saying may not be good, but I am highly craving hence asked :)

Where did you read that?

PickledScrump · 09/04/2024 20:45

Of course they are. Stick to the nhs avoid list, do not google

Rosesanddaisies1 · 09/04/2024 21:26

Of course. Stick to the NHS list only. It’s a minefield otherwise

Thanks for the answers and advise, appreciate it!
