Small Gestational Sac

Hello,

Has anyone has a small gestational sac compared the embryo and had a positive outcome?

I made the mistake of Googling and it's made me think I'm doomed for a third MC.

Heartbeat has been seen on two scans a week apart (I'm under care at EPAC due to some early spotting/pain and MC history). But my first MMC there was a heartbeat which still didn't end well.

The first picture is at 6+3 and second at 7+3 (although measuring a bit behind).

Thank you

Hi @Paperboats

I had this and was terrified but I'm now third trimester so there is hope. I remember reading about it and thinking it wasn't going to progress aswell, it is very scary. They always said as long as there was a week of of growth between the scans it was positive.
I don't know if it helped but I drank 3-4 litres of water a day as I had read it could help.

Hoping all goes well for you xx

@Halsi thank you so much for replying! Hearing that has honestly made me feel better, just having a positive story. Sometimes the internet is the worst but it's impossible to stay away after MC anxiety! The embryo has grown well but not the sac so much. I guess I'll just have to keep hoping :) thank you x

I am so sorry to hear that @Paperboats and I'm so sorry this little baby isn't coming into the world with you. All miscarriages are devastating and I know this is your third. Take all this time to grieve and then go back for answers. Has there been long between your miscarriages?

Thank you for your messages. I had two last year, one in Feb and the other in July. I took a break after the second as I had a positive lupus anticoagulant test and you need to wait 12 between those to diagnose APS, I didn't want to get pregnant if I did have that and it go wrong again. The second test was negative though. I got pregnant the first month of trying, but I just can't hold on to them! The only testing really left for me is NK Immune cells but I'm not sure if that is just leading me down a rabbit hole!

It is so hard when all you want is an answer to get you closer to your babe. Has your partner had up to date tests including the DNA frag test? Perhaps worth discussing the initial postive lupus anticoag test aswell. But right now just focus on your body and mind. I'm so sorry again x
