Babys engaged - labour close?

When did your labour end up starting after your babys head was engaged? I just found out my babys head is engaged and I will be 36 weeks tomorrow. Getting a bit nervous as I read labour usually starts 2-4 weeks after the head is engaged and I’ve no idea for how long my baby’s head has been engaged 😄 Would love to hear your experiences!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My baby engaged at 36 weeks. Had to be induced at 41 weeks 😅.
I don't think it means anything, but have your hopsital bag prepared just in case.

My first baby was engaged at 31 weeks. She stubbornly arrived at 40+5, I think it may be common for first babies to engage early?

Yeah ... mine was engaged at like 28 weeks. Born at 41+2 😂. With subsequent children I've heard engages closer to labour.

If its your first baby then head engagement doesn't mean much as they do tend to engage pretty early on

I think it basically means they have got themselves into position, not that they are ready to come, they come in their own time.
