My 15 month old isn’t really saying words she will say quack if you ask her but if we say say mama and dada or any other words she won’t copy us she will say mama and dada but not to us, she has understanding of words, is this considered ‘normal’

Yes completely normal! All toddlers develop at different rates so its hard to not compare against those who are more advanced.

I literally rang the health visitor at 15 months with my son as he had never babbled, and the only word he said was 'mum' nothing else. She said it was completely normal. I spent far too much time in those days worrying about his speech development. He's almost 4 now and there's not a second of the day when he's not talking. He even talks in his sleep 😂 his nursery teacher commented to us at parents evening a few weeks back that he talks so much 😂

So don't worry, try not to compare and you'll look back in a few years like I have and wonder why you ever spent so much time worrying over it!

Totally fine. Mine didn't really start speaking until after his second birthday - this is the later end of "normal". As long as understanding is there that's the main thing
