Are the names Mila and Nola too similar?

Our cat is called Nola and we have found out our baby is a girl. I can’t stop coming back to the name Mila, I really really like it. I know they are totally different names, but when I say them out loud they sound too alike I think. DH doesnt see it as an issue and thinks they are different enough to use, plus he says it’s not like we have two children with similar names, it’s just the cat! But I don’t know, it’s kind of stopping me from using it

One is a person and the other a cat it's not like you'll be saying their names together like you would if they were siblings.

Use the name you love, as sad as it is the cat won't live forever and neither will they care if the name you pick is similar to theirs.

If they were for twins, then no. For siblings I'd be suggesting Mila and Noa to make them a little more different.
For a baby and a cat...absolutely fine!

I think they'd be fine for sisters, but Nola is a cat - absolutely fine.

Neither here nor there, but I love the name Mila.

My friend refers to her dog and toddler in the same breath every day. She called them "the munchkins".

But saying that, I also know other people who have a pet/child combo of Alfie & Archie (can't remember which is which) - Nola and Mila aren't in that crazy league so you'll be fine 😁

Ah I’m glad I posted here, thank you! For some reason I thought everyone was going to say don’t do it. This has reassured me ☺️

Just to post Mila was one of my best top names! In the end we went for Mimi but Mila is so cute too 🥰

My friend had a sister and they adopted a dog (rescue) who already had a name. The names rhymed (like Ollie and mollie for example!) they just went with it and no one said anything! I don’t think they’re that similar x
