Hi All. I’ve had cramping in the lower abdomen today bit of sharp pain on right side and lower back pain. I feel like I need a wee but when I go not much comes out. Does this sound like a UTI or has anyone experienced this?
My midwife doesn’t ever reply to me and my doctors won’t see me til Tuesday. I’m about to lose my mind. Thank you!

Call NHS 111 for advice.

How far along are you?

excitedmama2be · 28/03/2024 16:03

Pharmacies can now deal with UTI
might be worth popping to your local one

24+1. I feel like she may be sat on my bladder but this is my first baby so I don’t know what I should feel or expect

Pretty sure a pharmacy won’t prescribe if you’re pregnant. Phone 111 and they’ll find you an appt or go to maternity triage

I waited in the walk in centre for some Antibotics and the consultant advised me if it happens again just to go to pharmacies to avoid the queues

Does sound like a UTI tbh, hope you get it sorted soon x

mummyh2016 · 28/03/2024 17:45

@AimeeLou84 in that case you should have open access to maternity triage. Give them a ring and say you think you have a UTI so can you drop a urine sample in to be dipped. They don't need to see you as such if they don't need to.

That's what I found. Even though the GPs tell you to go to a pharmacist I've found they will never prescribe and they've always referred me back to the GP.

Pharmacy wouldn’t prescribe anything told me to call maternity so called triage and come straight in. Found trace of blood in urine so now waiting on a doctor to see me
