Hello!

I know I'm being neurotic but just got my results back from my 12 week scan. The risk of downs is 1 in 1525 and Edward's is 1 in 5000. Are these both low risk? Im struggling to find any accurate data online.

Many thanks!

That's pretty low risk 1,524 children in the group will be fine. Think of it that way.

My risk was 1:24 (older mum) so I had an amnio. DS was still fine. And the amnio didn't hurt at all.

Didn't it specify in your letter? I think it's anything below 1/150 that's classed as high risk. 👍🏼

Yeah that's very low.

1 : 5,000 is the lowest possible risk they give.
