Absolute ball of aniexty after early scan

Hi all,
Hoping someone can give me a bit of hope after yesterday.
By my last cycle dates I had myself down as 5 weeks 6 days yesterday, however this could be less as I am a late ovulater. I had the smallest bit of Red blood yesterday when I wiped so went into a panic and went to an early private scan.
The scan showed an empty sac dating 5 weeks 3, no yolk. I don't know if that's normal for 5 weeks 3?
Anyway when the sonographer removed the probe it was covered in blood and they just said its inconclusive as its early and bleeding can be normal and that was that.
I bleed for 2 hours after getting lighter and lighter then it stopped and I've had no bleeding since. I had 0 cramps yesterday.
Called my gp who advised doing a private scan end of next week and it's sounds OK for my length of pregnancy.
Everything I read says you should have a yolk at 5 weeks 3 and I am so worried that I had a bleed yesterday.
SO stressed

Unfortunately all you can do is wait. It's so early, it's very hard to be definitive. I had bleeding at 6.5 weeks and was all fine.

Thank you @Rosesanddaisies1 , for me I'm just so panicked about there being no yolk at 5 w 3 and panicking I thought I was 5 w 6 but not.
Just horrible, I have my wedding in 2 weeks and go away for 3 weeks. I really want an answer before then or I don't know how to cope if it happens on the big day etc.

I know it's basically 50/50 😥

@Fingerscrossed88 I had a very similar thing a few weeks ago. Went to EPU knowing I was 6+2 from my last period. They said there was an empty sac and dated me close to 5 weeks and rebooked me for 2 weeks time (which is tomorrow). In the meantime, I already had a private scan booked for last Thursday, so went to that anyway as I’d paid £90 for it! They saw a heartbeat and dated me at 6+5. So only 6 days later and a totally different story. I’m going back to EPU for a scan tomorrow as I’ve had miscarriages so hoping for a positive outcome tomorrow too. Fingers crossed that you have the same good news that I had last week 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

Don't worry at all about dating differently, it's only an estimate from your last period as you can't know exactly when you ovulated and implanted. Everyone I know has a different date told to them when they have a scan, to what was based on their last period. And the measurements at that stage are so minuscule.

@Sgj91 omg that is amazing! Huge huge huge congratulations to you!!!
Do you mind me asking if you had any bleeding and how did you get an appointment at epu?
My doctor advised me to book another private scan as he said epu won't bother with me as its confirmed uterine pregnancy and I have no cramping. I would feel much more comfortable going to epu instead of private again!
Huge huge huge congrats again and sending so many warm wishes your way xx

@Rosesanddaisies1 my head is trying to tell me that, I think I have a strong need for certainty and being so closed to the wedding my stress is everywhere.
Thank you x

@Fingerscrossed88 Thank you so much! I had some very slight bleeding but a lot of abdominal pain and cramps and thought I was having a miscarriage. I got referred by my GP to EPU when I told him my symptoms. I’ve done a lot of research and read that often the equipment at private clinics is more advance/accurate than what they have in some NHS units so going private again may not be a bad thing.
It sounds like you’ve got a lot going on at the moment with the wedding etc so this extra stress can’t be helping. Got everything crossed for you and hope you get answers soon. A lot can change in a few days, as I found out last week. Sending lots of hugs and keep us updated xxx
