Seatbelts for third child, can you convert lap seat to across the body?

I'm due my third in 7 weeks and have been looking, with no luck, at how to fit a third car seat in a car with the middle seat just having a lap belt. My oldest is 7 so she is in a booster which I think I can buy a new one that fits just a lap belt but I hate the idea of her being less safe than she is now as she uses the across body harness. I have tried desperately to find a company that will fit a different seatbelt in but can't find one. What do those of you with 3 children do (all buy people carriers??!!).

mum, that's my confusion too, can you put a booster carseat in front with airbags? Of course, once Dad's in the car she'll have to be in the back then and I just feel uncomfortable with her not being as safe as possible. I have just found a place in London that will adjust most cars, anywhere in the M25 and I am now considering driving up and meeting them in a service station and getting it done there. They can do 95% of cars. If you live in/near London I'll give you their details if it helps. They've just quoted £148, cheaper than a new car!
Littleducks if you have any other info I'd be sooooooooooo grateful! Many thanks.

we took our car to specialist garage(morris 1000) for seatbelts-had none in the back at all.we got 3 fitted.although theres not enough room for 3 carseats/booster seats in the back so i have to sit between ds1 and dd in the back(luckily im only little!)and ds2 sits in front.
i must learn to drive then i can have a big girls seat all to myself!

Ok, i read a thread ages ago about cars that come with 3 rear seat belts as standard pre 2005 list is {[http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/faq.htm?id=26 here]]

and it is from that article that this manufacturer is recommended see here but the product you need is £95 without fitting .

I do remember my dad fitting a seatbelt in the car for me as a child, when the car didnt have 3 point belts (or maybe belts at all!) in the back, but im not sure how comfortable i would feel fitting one! Most online retailers seem to sell kits though. Maybe ring around local garages and ask?
