Had sex (6 weeks pregnant) and now I’m bleeding… so scared

It is just spotting when I wipe but it’s light red in colour. It’s come on literally the half an hour after we had sex. Terrified. First time we had sex after BFP. I have previously lost a pregnancy at this gestation and my first sign of that was spotting. I am so so scared and kicking myself as is DH.

I had the same at 6.5 weeks - was all fine. Can you call EPU first thing Monday? Assume they’re closed at weekend.

About 48 hours? It actually stopped by the time I got an appointment at the EPU. I had a tiny subchorionic bleed which was causing it. I’m 13 weeks now!

@Sparksi when I went to the EPU they told me I have cervical ectropion which is common in pregnancy and can cause bleeding after sex. It's likely that!

I would be more worried if I hadn’t just had sex tbh you’ve most likely irritated the cervix. I had bleeding at the same gestation, the first thing EPU asked was if I’d just had sex. I hadn’t but it will still fine! If it stops I wouldn’t panic.

@piechipsgravy I had exactly the same. Bled very badly at 20 weeks and all was ok. Even now 4 years later, I've still got it and certain positions will cause it to bleed x
