Anyone else’s baby have very frantic jerky movements daily

don’t remember my other pregnancies moving in this way, I have the usual kicks too, but episodes of really shaky jerky movements.

this has been the case for a good 6 weeks now, am currently 31 weeks. Mentioned to midwife at last appt and she didn’t seem bothered if that was this baby’s ‘normal’ however dr Google has got me panicking now about seizures or cerebral palsy😔

Could be hiccups. My first had fits of hiccups.

Yes, my dd was very active. We even joked that we would called her Bridget (the fidget). She was absolutely fine, but still fidgets now at age 10. As long as you're feeling regular movements, dont worry.

It just feels so much more frantic and shakey than I remember my older 2 ever being - can’t stop feeling worried whenever he/she does it x

Yes! My baby does this sometimes, I’m 32 weeks. It feels like several kicks in the same place in quick succession. I wouldn’t say it’s every day but I’ve definitely noticed it a few times and thought it’s different to my first pregnancy. First DC constantly had hiccups when I was pregnant and it’s different to that too so I don’t think it’s hiccups. I hadn’t actually considered being concerned about it and I’m having regular scans for an unrelated reason so no reason to think anything is wrong. I think they are just all different!

Yes I agree I remember the rhythmic jumps of hiccups and it’s not that, it’s like the baby is flapping its arms and legs all at the same time. Happens maybe 2/3 times per day usually towards the evening

@Ismo456 hi, can I ask if everything was ok with baby? Mines doing the same thing and it worries me a lot!
