Hello, I took an ovulation test last night that was quite dark and we had sex but it’s even darker today so today must be ovulation day! But I don’t think we’ll be able to have sex today. What’s the chances of getting pregnant from having sex last night?
thanks

if it's darker today, it's more likely you will ovulate tomorrow. You ovulate 24-36 hours after the LH peak (which is darkest).

As above, if it is darker today then you will likely ovulate in the next 24-48 hours and then have 12-24 hours to fertilise the egg. Sperm can also last up to 5 days so there’s still time to have sex again plus there’s a chance from the sperm already present.

A positive ovulation test needs to be as dark or darker than the control line to be counted as a positive. There’s an app called premom which will analyse them for you and take out the guesswork.

thank you for your responses, we managed to do it last night so fingers crossed! We’ve been trying for a few months now but I don’t think we’ve been trying at the right times!
