Failed induction then successful vbac?

I had a failed induction 5 years ago with DD. In the end I was 16 days overdue, the induction methods had failed. I didn't dilate even half a cm and had no signs at all that labour was imminent. DD was born via c section.

I'm now pregnant with our second baby and starting to think about an elective c section or trying for a vbac. I just don't think my body can physically go into labour because it didn't respond to the induction at all even though I was really overdue.

I like the thought of a vbac but I don't want to spend 6 days in hospital again just for it to fail and end up with a c section anyway.

Has anyone had a failed induction and then gone on to have a successful vbac? Please share your experiences to help me make a decision (I'm only 13 weeks so still have plenty of time to decide)
